In Winter

the branches of trees

turn into open air roots

beseeching the sky

En invierno

las ramas de árboles

son raíces al aire

rogando al cielo

Night

a cup of black

coffee spilled all over

the Earth’s tablecloth

La noche

taza de café

negro vertida sobre

el mantel de la Tierra
