I light candles each night

I pray to the angels and saints

Give me peace

I pray to my ancestors

Give me strength

I pray to my abuela

Talk to me in my dreams

I Am Resistance

Tatted and educated

Chola and scholar

Mexican and American

I am an act of resistance
